The Basic Juvenile Police Officers Course is designed for police officers, peace officers, youth officers, D.A.R.E. officers, School Resource/Safety Officers, and other law enforcement personnel who work in Youth Services, Juvenile Aid Bureaus, or who investigate crimes committed by or against juveniles. This five-day program, certified by the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association (SNYPJOA) and recognized on the DCJS Acadis platform, provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and legal foundation necessary to respond effectively to the unique challenges of juvenile justice. |

This comprehensive training equips participants with the expertise needed to navigate the complexities of juvenile law enforcement while fostering safer communities and stronger outcomes for youth across New York State. A certificate will be issued by the Bureau of Municipal Police/Division of Criminal Justice Services for all participants that hold the status of police officer. |
