New York's Juvenile Officer and School Resource Officers Association |

The Basic School Resource Officer (SRO) Course is designed for School Resource Officers, Police Juvenile Officers, D.A.R.E. Officers, School Liaison Officers, and supervisors of SROs. Anyone working in or preparing for a school-based law enforcement role will benefit from this foundational training. Course Overview This five-day, 38-hour program is certified by both the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services–Municipal Police Training Council (DCJS-MPTC) and the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association (SNYPJOA). The course equips officers with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in an educational environment. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the School Resource Officer concept, school-based policing programs, and the vital partnerships required between law enforcement and education systems. Each student will complete a written exam and at least one graded practical exercise, ensuring both applied and theoretical mastery of the material. |

A certificate will be issued by the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Assocaition for all participants that hold the status of police or peace officer and also by NYS DCJS and added to accadis training register. |
