Becoming a member of the SNYPJOA keeps you up to date with Juvenile Justice issues in New York State as well as connections with many organizations around the State.  We provide various types of members including, Agency membership which allows every member of your Agency to become a member of the Association, individual member, Associate membership for supporters and non-police members, and retired membership.  

• Agency Memberships
  

Agency membership is the most economical form of membership.  Once your department signs up for the agency membership, EVERY sworn police officer of the department will enjoy the benefits of active membership.  A membership coordinator can be appointed with ability to add, remove, or change members in the agency and register for training events.

​Active membership in this Association shall be limited to persons who are sworn Police Officers as defined in the New York State Criminal Procedure Law. Article 1, Section 1.20 Subdivision 34(a) (b) (c) (d) (e) assigned full or part-time to work specifically with juveniles and who subscribe to the objectives and purposes of this Association.

​As an active member, you will:

• ​Be able to attend training courses for discounted rates
• Have access to our "Members Only" page
• Attend our annual training conference at member pricing
  
• Attend the annual business meeting, with voting rights
• Be a part of a statewide networking group of people with similar interests
• Each member will be eligable for AD&D life insurance policy
• Ability for family members to apply for yearly scholarships
• E-Blast monthly newsletter

Individual Membership

 Active membership in this Association shall be limited to persons who are sworn Police Officers as defined in the New York State Criminal Procedure Law. Article 1, Section 1.20 Subdivision 34(a) (b) (c) (d) (e) assigned full or part-time to work specifically with juveniles and who subscribe to the objectives and purposes of this Association.

​As an active member, you will:

• ​Be able to attend training courses for free or discounted rates!
  
• Have access to our "Members Only" page
• Attend our annual training conference at a discounted Rate
• Every members gets an AD&D insurance policy
• Attend the annual business meeting
• Become a Regional Representative
• Hold an office on the Board of Directors
• Be a part of a statewide networking group of people with similar interests
• Ability for family members to apply for yearly scholarships
• E-Blast monthly news letter

Associate Membership shall be open to persons in allied fields of delinquency prevention and all other persons who subscribe to the objective and purposes of this Association. Associate Members shall have the rights and privileges of Active Members except the right to vote and hold office in the Association.

Retired Membership is open to members of the Association who have retired from there Law Enforcement career but wish to remain active or members of the SNYPJOA.  Cost of membership is $25.
